Great place to work Australia

100% agreement that Notitia is a great place to work | Why workplace culture still matters in consulting and technology | Building a people-first culture at Notitia

We’re proud to share that Notitia has officially been recognised by Great Place to Work Australia, with 100% of employees agreeing Notitia is a great place to work.

100% of employees at Notitia say it is a great place to work compared to 60% of employees at a typical company in Australia.

For us, the recognition reflects something we’ve worked hard to build over time — a connected, supportive and people-first culture.

In consulting and technology environments, culture shapes more than employee experience alone.

It influences how teams collaborate, how problems get solved, how organisations navigate pressure, and ultimately the quality of work delivered to clients.

As a national consultancy specialising in data and digital transformation, we work across healthcare, government, not-for-profit and commercial sectors, helping organisations solve operational and business challenges through strategy, analytics, development and design-led thinking.

For our Managing Director Alex Avery, the result reflects the company’s long-term focus on trust, communication and building an environment where people feel supported to contribute ideas, ask questions and continue developing professionally.

“Culture shapes everything inside a business, how people collaborate, how problems get solved, and ultimately the quality of work delivered to clients,” Mr Avery said.

“We’ve always wanted Notitia to be a place where talented people can do meaningful work, continue learning, and feel supported by the people around them.”

In the 2026 Great Place to Work® survey, Notitia achieved:

  • 100% agreement that Notitia is a great place to work
  • 98% average across the Great Place to Work® model
  • 99% Pride score
  • 100% Camaraderie score
  • 98% Trust score

The survey also highlighted strong scores across inclusion and belonging, including that 100% of employees felt welcomed when joining the company and agreed the business offers special and unique benefits.

As the business has continued growing nationally across Melbourne, Adelaide, Canberra and Brisbane, maintaining strong culture and connection across the team has remained an important focus for the business.

Our workplace approach includes hybrid work arrangements, flexibility, wellness-focused initiatives, professional development opportunities and creating long-term career pathways across different disciplines.

Mr Avery said diversity of thought and background continues to play an important role in how Notitia approaches both hiring and culture.

“We’ve always believed the best teams are made up of people who think differently, challenge ideas respectfully and bring different experiences to the table,” he said.

“When people feel comfortable contributing ideas and being themselves at work, you create a far more connected and collaborative environment.”

“That diversity brings better ideas into the business and stronger outcomes for our team, our culture and our clients.”

While flexibility has become increasingly important across consulting and technology industries, maintaining strong connection across distributed teams still requires deliberate effort.

“Our team is spread across Australia, but we work hard to maintain strong connection and collaboration across the business,” Mr Avery said.

“Technology gives us the ability to work flexibly, but culture still needs to be built intentionally.”

That focus on connection also extends beyond day-to-day project work, with the team regularly coming together throughout the year through company offsites and shared experiences.

“Last year our company offsite took the team to the Gold Coast, and this year we’re heading to Queenstown for a snow trip,” he said.

“Those experiences are important because they help strengthen relationships beyond day-to-day project work.

“They create opportunities for people to connect personally, celebrate wins and spend time together outside of deadlines.”

Despite continued growth, Notitia has intentionally maintained what Mr Avery describes as a “small team mentality”, where employees continue having direct access to leadership and opportunities to contribute ideas across the business.

“One of the things we value most is that people across the business genuinely care about each other and the work they’re doing,” he said.

“We actively build an environment that balances high standards and ambitious work with empathy, flexibility and support.”

The Great Place to Work® survey also highlighted strong results across Pride and Camaraderie, with scores of 99% and 100% respectively.

Mr Avery said those results reflect the shared sense of purpose across the business and the real-world impact of the work the team delivers with clients.

“Our work often focuses on helping organisations solve operational problems, improve services and make better decisions through data and technology,” he said.

“That gives our team a strong sense of purpose because people can see the real-world impact of the work they’re contributing to.”

As the business continues evolving, maintaining a strong workplace culture will remain a key focus for the leadership team.

“Our industry moves quickly, but one thing that doesn’t change is the importance of trust, communication and supporting people,” Mr Avery said.

“We want Notitia to continue being a place where talented people can do meaningful work, continue learning, and feel genuinely connected to the people around them.”
